"AYURVEDA" is divided into 8 various different parts. It deals with each
subject of medicine. It includes one of the most vital part of human
life, called as – “VAJIKARAN CHIKITSA” i.e. the medicine or therapy
by which the man becomes capable of copulating with woman. This is
the most prestigious gift of "AYURVEDA" to Mankind.
SEX has always been an issue of dichotomy. An integral part of our lives
& essnential for the continuation of the species, it is far more
than just a technical necessity.

satisfaction for each other. This is the main aim of “VAJIKARAN CHIKITSA”

It also deals with the problem of – “VANDHYATWA” i.e. Infertility in
humans. But before that, we should know
the factors, which are
responsible for “fertility”. They are –
Production of healthy sperm
by Man.
Production of healthy Egg by Woman.
Unblocked fallopian tubes, that allow the egg to reach the uterus.
Sperm’s ability to fertilize the egg.
Ability of fertilized egg to become implanted in the woman’s
uterus.
Sufficient embryo quality.
Infertility
Incapability of the woman to conceive, after one year of regular sexual
intercourse, without contraceptives or to retain the fetus till
childbirth, is called as ‘Infertility’. It is a problem, which not
only affects the physical life of the woman, but also disturbs the
social & emotional life of the couple.
It is divided into two types :-
1. Primary Infertility
–
When the woman has never been able to conceive, it is called as
primary infertility.
2. Secondary Infertility
–
When the couple experiences the trouble in having the second or
third child, after having first child in the normal course, is
called as secondary infertility. |
